| Another sign of the winter weather and Christmas is my Yule Tide Log light. My Grandmother made this light, she made allot of things. But we two of these logs. One is mine, the other is my parents. I LOVE this light. One reason is because my Grandmother made it, and two is it has flicker bulbs. And when they are on it really looks like a flame dancing around. The pics do not do it justice! It was dusty, so I cleaned it up real nice. It looks brand new!
3 new flicker bulbs from Wal-Mart.
And there you have it, it makes me smile every time I look at it. And when you turn the lights out in the room it fills the room with this warm glow. Turn on some Xmas music and get a glass of Egg Nog, well that is just a good night in my humble opinion!

| In bed, and I can't sleep. So I decided to blog via my cellphone. What else can you do late at night alone with your thoughts? I could listen to some music I suppose. That may help me to relax and fall asleep..........well it's worth trying anyways. Ok then, I am off to do just that.
I hope your doing better then me when it comes getting some sleep! | | |
| Well it was pouring rain when I went to bed last night, but the temp went down over the night and it turned into snow. Not allot, but there is snow out there this morning. I guess it was a good call on putting up the Christmas lights when I did! Funny thing is, they are calling for 55 degrees on Monday! This winter is off to a very crazy start! Anyways, enjoy the pics, and have a great weekend!
Pogo wanted me to get a shoot of her in the snow, crazy little dog!
Now this last pic is almost a postcard worthy pic I think!

| So I decided today was the day to get the Christmas lights up on the house. It was darn cold doing it, but in the end I was very pleased with the way it came out. I did add my Santa to it as well. Not as may lights this year as I had in years past, but it's enough for now. I am trying to make the best of what I have, and not dwelling on things I no longer have. Anyways, here is some pics of the lights on. My neighbors might think I am crazy to have them on now, but it makes me smile, so that is all that counts!

| Well I made it through Halloween without the ex-wife. My first Halloween without her in 10 years. Now comes the the real hard holidays. Thanksgiving and even more so, Christmas. It's going to be hard I think, we always enjoyed the holidays. Well I thought we did, who knows what she really was thinking. I haven't mentioned Lisa much for two reasons. One: she doesn't really seem to talk to me much now that she has a boyfriend. And two: I have a girlfriend. So we seems to be on different paths now. But I think about her and pray she is doing ok. She knows how to get a hold of me, but I really don't think she will. Funny the amount of changes I have had over the last year. I miss Lisa, but she seems happier without me. So I guess that is good for her. And to be honest, I am happy with my GF. I just wish she was closer to spend more time with. But she is a great lady, and I am blessed she is in my life. She really does make me happy. She always makes a point of spending some time with me, even when she has allot going on in her life. It's so nice to have that again, like I have said before, my GF really is a loving person. So I head on down the road of life, hoping for the best, and happy for the blessings that the good Lord sends my way! | | |
